District Elections

The City of San Dimas, like hundreds of cities and school districts across the state, made a change in how voters elect its City Council. Beginning in 2022, voters will vote for one City Council Member who lives in their district, and for the Mayor. This would replace the current system of at-large citywide elections in which voters have the ability to vote for all City Council Members.

November 23rd Approval of Ordinance 1292

The City Council met on November 15th where they introduced Ordinance 1292 establishing a District-based system of elections for the members of the City Council. The City Council met on November 23rd, 2021 to adopt Ordinance 1292 that included Map 131 (DistrictR  Map ID 73950). Please see the links below for the details of the final approved map. The City of San Dimas appreciates the feedback and comments that the citizens provided to the Council during the redistricting process.
